More about our cookies

Website function cookies

Our own cookies. We use cookies to make our website work.

Visitor statistics cookies

We use cookies from Google Analytics to compile visitor statistics, such as how many people have visited our website; what type of technology they are using (e.g. Mac or Windows, which helps to identify when our site isn't working as it should for particular technologies); how long they spend on the site; what page they look at, etc. This helps us to continuously improve our website. These programs also tell us how people reached this site (e.g. from a search engine) and whether they have been here before.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display content and ads (via third party services) that are relevant and engaging for individual users.

Declining cookies

You may opt to decline cookies from our website by managing your cookie preferences here.

Turning cookies off

You can also switch cookies off by adjusting your browser settings to stop it from accepting cookies. Doing so, however, will likely limit the functionality of our and a large proportion of the world's websites as cookies are a standard part of most modern websites.

It may be that your concerns around cookies relate to so called 'spyware'. Rather than switching off cookies in your browser, you may find that anti-spyware software achieves the same objective by automatically deleting cookies considered to be invasive.

Our Services

Over the years the range of services have evolved with opportunities as they have presented themselves, but at our core, it has remained that our success lies in collaboration and partnership with our clients, employees and contractors. We aim to to bring everyone together, aligning our efforts to deliver a quality service with a personal touch. We believe that when all stakeholders share a common goal, remarkable outcomes become achievable.

While the forestry industry has traditionally been seen as a conservative, and slow to change industry, we are here to challenge the status quo. Adapting to change, we like to think we introduce a refreshing level of flexibility to our approach. By embracing new opportunities as they arise, we ensure that our business thrives, and more importantly, our clients reap the benefits.

We offer a wider range of services to our clients. Individual projects are often varied and tailor-made to suit client requirements.

Services we provide include:

  • Valuations - for probate, purchase or sale.
  • Marketing reports - for woodlands, timber or wood products.
  • Feasibility studies - for planting projects, exploitation or timber processing facilities.
  • Market analysis and monitoring.
  • Health and Safety assessments.

We are able to facilitate harvesting operations from the planning stage right through to operations, ensuring that the objectives of our clients are met in a professional and safe manner.

Services we provide include:

  • Mensuration/measurement of stands for harvesting.
  • Mapping compartments and creation of plans/maps including hazard maps.
  • Marketing of standing timber to sawmills and timber merchants.
  • The marketing of timber at roadside or delivered direct to sawmills.
  • Site supervision of the harvesting operation.
  • Monitoring of health and safety as well as environmental controls.
  • Restocking of clear-felled land or the management of natural regeneration.

Ownership of a woodland can be for a wide variety of reasons. The skill of a woodland manager is being able to define the objectives and draw up a strategy that will achieve the objectives and provide the desired benefits whilst maintaining a healthy and sustainable woodland according to the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS) and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) (where appropriate).
Services we provide include:

  • Creation of UKWAS and FC certified management plans for amenity and conservation to commercial objectives.
  • Application for grant funding for woodland improvement.
  • Contract supervision and management of a variety of woodland activities e.g. roading, fencing, thinning/harvesting, post harvesting clearance, tree planting, safety and environmental controls, pest control, post planting weed control.
